End of the Season aka Year in Review

    My season starts in the autumn, usually around the beginning of October and runs through the winter time. I will go as long as possible until the weather gets nice and summery and that's when I have to take a break. That is usually around the end of April.
    Because I live a dual life, my other, less exciting personae takes centre stage in the summer months. I found out about five or six years ago that it became too difficult and too stressful and damn near impossible to keep up my Mary-Margret time during the summer. Since then, I don't even try. I just "hibernate" over the summer. It is good and healthy to take a break and when the Autumn breeze rolls in, I always have a renewed vigour and ambition for strutting around in heels and stockings.
    The hibernating phase is always a bit melancholy for me. Much like last year, the season ended with more of a whimper than a bang. My last outing was on March 31st. I couldn't manage to squeeze another one in. I had a couple of chances but my plans fell through. So now begins the long wait until the fall for me to step out of my cocoon again.

   For the summer, I still continue to write and stay in touch via the web. I will post blogs and write stories. I also have a huge stash of photos left over from the past season that I can sporadically post on Flickr as a "best of the rest" series. I have some themed projects awaiting release as well. Hopefully, that will keep you all coming back.

The year in Review Oct 2012-March 2013:

   It started for me in Oct with four separate occasions. The first was my "Black Widow" photo shoot that was very popular and I loved it.

The second was a night that I tried out my new blonde wig mark 4. I went out in western, cowgirl wear and tried out some new peach coloured clothes and also did some "Shazam!" shots.

The third Oct outing was a goth night, where I went out to the Secret Garden, Queenston Heights, the tourist shop and a graveyard, in goth finery.

The last Oct night out was a Halloween party in Toronto where I dressed up as a nun and met up with my good friend Janie who was dressed as a truck-stop waitress/ vampire and became the night of The Epic Kiss.

After a November of football, hunting and movember staches, I got out again in December for a mid week date night/ cribbage challenge where we started out looking for a bar to have a drink at, of which most were closed super early, starting at Milestones, then the Keg, and finally ending up at TGI Fridays for cocktails of all places.

The other night was a Saturday at Club Envy, just before Christmas which also involved a Chinese theme, Santa theme, and Schoolgirl theme photo shoot.

In January, I drove through a blizzard to go to Toronto. I met up again with Janie for dinner at the Drake Hotel, which included great food, cocktails, music and an old school photo booth. I experienced Toronto's tolerance as I felt completely at ease in a "straight" environment including using the (crowded) ladies room.

After missing out on February, I got out in early March and took photos downtown at the old police station, at the hose brigade, and at the big cock before doing a set as Hel from Bitch Slap.

My last outing was to Club Envy again where they were having a fetish night sponsored by Northbound Leather. I was unaware of the theme and was very under dressed. I had been wanting to attend a leather night for sometime and have a full outfit to wear but I was caught off guard this time.

I still had a few unsatisfied items from my bucket list that I wanted to do this year such as, Toussard's wax museum, a Trooper Blondie shoot, and the spring blossoms at RBG (thank you Christina Saint Marche for the vision). That just means that I will have incentive for the fall. Have a great summer every one.

Cleavage

  On my past few outings, I have received a lot of compliments on my cleavage. I have to admit that my boobs did look outstanding. I received quite a few compliments on my photos on my flickr page too. A lot of people ask, "Are your boobs real?" which is probably the best compliment you can get. The most recent time out, I was chatting with a GG lady who was awe struck by them and had a bit of an obsession with them. It wasn't until I let her feel me up really good before she believed me that it was all an illusion. Even then, not 100% convinced.

    I have always relied on the feminine appearance of my legs and my bum to create the female allure. My bust was an after thought. In the early years, I simply stuffed a bra with socks and wore high neck sweaters or tops. It wasn't until I purchased a few tops that required showing some cleavage that I decided to do something about it. The first thing I did was purchase a pair of falsies. Nowadays you can get realistic feeling, silicone pads in all shapes and sizes. When I was at Miss Suzi's in Buffalo in 2002, she lent me a pair to try and I was hooked. I bought a pair of C cup forms and still use them to this day.

   A lot of people ask how I make them look so real. For any newcomers to cross dressing, there can be some stuff that I do that can be helpful for you. Try what you want and find what's best for yourself but this is how I do it:
  First, the skin has to be smooth, so get rid of all that chest hair. Use a razor of Nair cream and shower clean after. Moisturize and let it soak in. It is best to get it all, even the arm pits. Any hair spoils the illusion.
  Second, (this is the step that not many people like to do) Tape. That's right, tape. I use duct tape. Its another reason you don't want any hair left over, it will hurt like a bitch coming off later. Peel off about 10-15" of tape and place one end under your left armpit about the level of your nipple. Take another piece about the same length and repeat this step on your right side. Pull the two pieces together in the middle of your chest just below your nipples so that the loose skin gets pulled to the middle of your chest. I highly recommend laying off the push-ups or bench presses a few days before this so that there is something to work with. Stick the two pieces of tape together tightly and snug like a front clasp bra. You can also use just one piece of tape straight across but holding the skin in place is difficult when stretching the tape to the other arm pit. Either way...That should create the "valley."
    Third. The bra. Wear a good, firm, padded, push-up bra; One with strong sides. Wear it snug and adjust the height to cover the tape. Sometimes it may not cover the tape 100% but that's alright if you are wearing clothes over top.
   Fourth, The falsies. I use my C cup silicone pads which are tear drop shaped. I wear them on an angle so that the round bottoms almost meet in the middle and the top points are pointed toward my shoulders. I put some tape on the back of them double sided so that the breast forms stick to my skin. Its mostly to keep them from sliding around when you move. That way,  you can and dance, strut and do anything without them flopping out.
   Fifth, Foundation undergarments. Other than the bra itself, a girdle or corset or spandex slip or a second bra will help the bra to push and hold everything into place. I found that and under boob corset helps to accent the bust line and lets those puppies jiggle like Kate Upton's on the runway. Its the opposite for GGs with real boobs who get the best jiggle rack from an over bust corset.
   Sixth, Makeup. Much like the face, foundation makeup is used to highlight certain areas. Use your darker matte colour from your neck down to the "V" in your cleavage but leave the fleshy orbs for a lighter shade and powder them. Use a brush and a shade of rouge or dark foundation to to create the shadow line that goes from the top, centre of the breast and curves down inside to the bottom of the "V". Make sure both sides are the same. Voila, boobs.

 Practice makes perfect so try a combination of these ideas and find what works best for your body. A final note on tape....When you're finished and are down to the peeling off stage, I recommend wetting the area with water and/or moisturizer to help the tape come off easier and leave less damage. And moisturize after for sure.

Welcome to Hel.

      As you recall in my previous post about the movie "Bitch Slap" ( http://marymargretcallahan.blogspot.ca/2012/07/bitchslap.html   ) I have an obsession of this film. I don't know how many times I have watched it. It has to be more than fifty now. I never get sick of it. Part of that obsession comes from the cast of course. My favourite character in the film is Hel, which is the nickname of Helen, or Agent Foxy 69. Everyone just calls her Hel. She is played by ultra hot, glam goddess Erin Cummings. Erin's career has taken off since this role and has starred in Sparticus, Detroit 187, Pan Am, Made in Jersey, and several other projects. She gives the role of Hel its femme fatale, corperate, ball busting bitch qualities. Hel is not only beautiful but she is the brains of the group of women with trouble on their minds. The character is strong as well as smart and compassionate.

     As any crossdresser or tranny will often do with an attractive female character obsession, we want to "femulate" their look. I have tried to piece together enough of the costume worn by Hel throughout most of the movie. The main pieces are a tight black pencil skirt and satin blouse, worn open to reveal the black bra. Hel's top is a champagne colour, which I couldn't find in my size. I had to settle on a black one. She wears fishnet hose, black panties, black 4" stiletto sandals and rose sunglasses. Hel has long red hair and an hour glass figure. I did my best to recreate the look. I could never do Erin Cummings justice but as they say, "imitation is the highest form of flattery."

  For those of you who still haven't seen this movie... what are you waiting for? Hot women, guns, boobs, cat fights, hot lesbian sex, a love triangle, sexy costumes, comedy, mystery, explosions, witty dialogue and a lesson in Sun Tsu.

My Secret Garden

   The children's story "The Secret Garden" was written in 1911 by Francis Hogson Burnett about a spoiled, sour child named Mary who had lost her family to Cholera in India and lived with her uncle in Kent, England. Her life is affected by the discovery of a secret garden. The secret garden at Misselthwaite Manor is the site of both the near-destruction and the subsequent regeneration of a family^. Using the garden motif, Burnett explores the healing power inherent in living things. The story constitutes a struggle between common sense and the accepted wisdom of the day, in which common sense wins. Another theme is what today might be called 'positive thinking', and belief in its power to bring about psychological and physical healing. Along with this goes a powerful message about the way in which life circumstances affect the formation of personality.
Subsequently, the nursery rhyme  "Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary;... How does your Garden Grow?" was derived of that story.
   In the 1980's author and psychiatrist Nancy Friday began a  book series about sexual fantasies starting with "My Secret Garden". It was way ahead of the whole Venus/Mars phenomenon.

  There is a place in Niagara Falls called the Secret Garden. It is located smack dab in the middle of the tourist area in the Falls and yet it is usually empty and serene amongst the neon lights and crowds on Clifton Hill. It is a true wonder in this city. The exception being on weekends in the summer when hundreds of bridal parties flock to it for photo sets. The Secret Garden is much like the one in Burnett's story. It has imposing Iron gates and limestone walls. The ivy climbs on everything. There are hedge mazes, brooks, ponds, fountains, arbours and floral displays. There is an outdoor café in there also. It is all maintained by the Niagara Parks Commission.
  My first recollection of the Garden was in photos of my parents honeymoon in the 1950's. After a number of visits to Niagara Falls when I was young, I could never recall seeing this Garden. When I moved here a number of years ago, I rediscovered it. The Garden was as intact and identical as it was in my parents photos. It is still a great place for photography. I have taken pictures there with my T sister Jodianne and many more by myself. I also recently discovered on my Flickr page a friend, model, business tycoon and diva Christina Saint Marche had done some photo sets there too.

  Reflecting on the literary works, I feel that common theme of emotional growth and positive thinking that comes from my local Secret Garden. Sometimes though, I just like to take a bunch of pictures of myself outside. Whatever your reasons, be sure to check out the Secret Garden on your next visit to Niagara Falls between your time in the casinos and the haunted houses and wax museums on Clifton Hill.

Bugs is Back

  I was wondering when I would be seeing a new Looney Tunes adventure. As you may know, I have a nostalgic spot for Bugs Bunny. I have a yahoo group dedicated to all the episodes of Bugs Bunny when he appeared in drag.   http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/bugsbunnyindrag/   There were over forty of them from the 1930's up until the 1970's when most of the original animators began passing away. Some of my favourites being "What's Opera Doc?"  and "Rabbit Seasoning"

  Since then, there have only been a few "In Drag" moments for Bugs and the other characters in the modern era with new artists and writers. In the movie Looney Tunes: Back in Action there was a couple brief scenes but the best one was Bugs in a Marilyn Monroe getup being chastised by Jenna Elfman, who said, "Frankly, I find the cross dressing a bit disturbing."

  Now, I just discovered that a new Looney Tunes show is in its second season already. I reviewed the episodes and found a few choice drag moments already. I will be following this new show closely for more.
