I got banned from Deviant Art

The website called Deviant Art is anything but deviant. It is the worlds largest on line art website. I was a member for over 14 years. part of the reason that my posts have been so sparse on here lately was due to my time consumption on DA. I had posted a lot of my IMVU art and my photos on DA over the years without many issues. A lot of adult artists had been posting there. As the site got bigger and drew more notice, things changed. Suddenly they had to decide to either stay true to there nature as a "deviant" site and force themselves to filter out anyone under 18 and restrict access or, stay public and clean up any erotica. They chose the latter, no doubt to keep more members and become the biggest on the net. Slowly, and methodically, adult material was deleted. I had posts removed that were cartoon renders of female characters, over 18, dressed, not showing any naughty bits but because they wore stockings or posed flirtatiously, they were considered adult material. Deleted.

Then I got hooked on AI fever. The AI stuff required very little to no talent to make and produced lifelike images. DA even has it's own AI generator on it's site called "dream up". Just right for me. Anyway, after 1000 AI posts over the past six months (I started making them in October), DA pulled the plug on me for making AI art depicting celebrities. Not depicting sex, just images of them dressed but flashing a bit of skin here and there. They (DA) called it porn. I never sold any of this stuff. It was all free to view and download. Someone on DA staff didn't even give me a warning to take them down, which I would have voluntarily, they just shut me down and banned my account (which I was paying for). They told me that my case could not be appealed. The ban is permanent.

Censorship is alive and well at DA. Please boycott Deviant Art.

Rant complete,

Mary-Margret
