Inferior Five

The Inferior Five comic series was a DC Comics title during the sixties and early seventies. There have been a couple one offs and guest appearances since then but the group is much forgotten in DC comics today.

The great thing about the Inferior Five was that it was a parody, one of the first, about comic book super heroes. This team up was full of odd misfits and would be heroes. Each one had some great ability but also had an equal level flaw. Together they made hilarious shenanigans.

I was always a big fan and wanted to make my own fan art of the group but as usual I had to feminize some of the characters.  As I stated in previous posts, comic artists and writers making super groups usually had several male and one token female character. What good was that?

So I took the five characters of the Inferior Five, one of which was already a female character, and feminized the rest.  Here are the bios of these would be heroes.

First up is the leader, Marionette,

In the original comic it was Myron Victor. Now we have Mary-Ann Victor. She is the daughter of two of the leaders of the old League of Justice, Uncle Sam and Miss America. Although Mary-Ann never received any great powers, she is a genius level intellect and can perform multiple calculations in her head at a time. She is probably the bravest of the group. Her parents taught her several marshal arts but the fact is she is 4'10" and 78 lbs soaking wet and recently lost an arm wrestling contest to a six year old.

Next is the Blimp,

The original Blimp was Herman Cramer. Here we have Heidi Kramer, the Blimp. Her father was Captain Swift who could fly and had super speed. His plus sized daughter Hiedi however, only received the flight ability genetically. Heidi can fly but only at a slow walking pace, with a tail wind.

Next we have Awkward Woman. The original was Leander Brent. Here we have Leanne Brent. She is the daughter of Mr. Might and the Mermaid. She inherited enhanced strength and the ability to breath under water for up to an hour. She is actually very agile, fast and powerful while under water. On land however, she is a clumsy, accident prone klutz. She lost in a dancing contest to a hippo.

Next we have White Feather. The original was William King. Here have Wendy Queen. She is the daughter of Golden Arrow. Wendy inherited her father's skills and ability with a bow and arrow. She might even be a better shot. Although she is highly trained and skilled, Wendy is afraid of even her own shadow. She can usually be found hiding behind any of the other members of the team.

Last and certainly not least is the original token female character, Dumb Bunny. Dumb Bunny is Athena Tremor. Her mother was an Amazon from Themyscira. Athena works part time as a model. She is also the strongest and most powerful member of the team. She is not too bright though and is usually very confused. It is said that she is as strong as an ox and almost as smart as one.
